Our Story

A decade ago, I founded Milo's Dog Club in London, driven by a simple but powerful passion for dogs and running.

Active movement is key to the development of all mammals, especially our beloved four legged friends. Whilst many care facilities and walkers provide the appropriate levels of socialisation, the dogs typically return home with bundles of energy having not been adequately exercised.

London is a fast-paced city, and I began to notice that dogs were often being slotted into routines that were more convenient than beneficial. I'd regularly spend time in places like Battersea Park, observing dog walkers standing around chatting or looking at their phones while the dogs milled about with very little engagement. There was a clear lack of movement, purpose and enrichment, and it didn't sit right with me.

Dogs are naturally active, curious and social animals. I could see first-hand how under-stimulated many of them were becoming. That's when I realised there had to be a better way: a more intentional, energetic and fulfilling approach to dog care.

Taking the Leap

With that idea in mind, I decided to take a leap and start what would become the dog running club that London dogs truly deserved. In the early days, growth was slow and very hands-on. I introduced myself to people in parks, struck up conversations with dog owners and explained what I wanted to offer. This wasn't just dog walking; it was real exercise, genuine engagement and proper care.

I spent a lot of time running, building trust and proving that dogs could benefit massively from a more active and structured experience. Slowly but surely, people began to see the difference, and the business grew organically through word of mouth and positive recommendations.

Where We Are Today

Today, Milo's Dog Club operates very differently from those early park days. We now take our dogs out to Wimbledon Common, which offers an incredible natural environment that's perfect for both physical exercise and mental enrichment. Each outing is a full adventure rather than a simple walk.

The dogs get to run freely, socialise with their pack, sniff and explore woodland trails, charge through long grass and heather, and splash around in the river. Every element of the landscape provides something different: stimulation, confidence-building and pure joy.

What makes our approach to dog running special is the variety Wimbledon Common offers. The dogs aren't just exercising their bodies; they're engaging their senses, forming social bonds and satisfying natural instincts that city life often suppresses.

The Heart of Our Dog Running Club

Our pack runs are designed to bring out the best in every member of the pack. We keep our groups small, with a maximum of four dogs, ensuring each one receives individual attention and care. This thoughtful approach means dogs build confidence, develop better social skills and return home calmer and more content.

The result is happier, more fulfilled dogs, and seeing that transformation never gets old. Starting Milo's Dog Club has been an incredibly rewarding journey. What began as a simple idea has grown into something that genuinely improves the lives of city dogs every single day.
